Water & Membrane China 2009 is hosted by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association and the Membrane Industry Association of China, scheduled for October 2009 14 to 16 in China International Exhibition Center, Beijing. Based on the previous 11 successful operations, the scale of WMC 2009 will be expanded again, and the industry has been formed to rely on influence, power, cohesion and confidence to go beyond the previous Olympic membrane and water treatment industry event.
In the past two years, thanks to the state of environmental governance, energy-saving emission reduction policies, the membrane technology develops rapidly. In June 2007 the State Department issued "the work of a comprehensive energy saving program" in a clear state to establish and improve the energy-saving and emission reduction indicator system, monitoring system and evaluation system. Water treatment, renewable water resources, water use, such as water-saving measures are the most important methods of policy. The field of membrane separation technology is widely used for membrane industry, and equipment is the rapid increase in demand, due to the close attention paid to the supervision of the implementation of regulatory measures, petrochemical, power, mining, metallurgy, electronics, electroplating, textile, paper, pharmaceutical, liquor, food and beverage, municipal water supply, environmental protection, wastewater reuse and desalination. Within the next five years, the domestic membrane market in the industrial output value will exceed 2 billion U.S. dollars. Especially in the field of water treatment technology, membrane separation technology is the reuse of water resources and the protection of water quality in the most effective means to resolve the problem in raising the contribution rate of industry have been playing a decisive role.
Because of specialized, technology-intensive, on the lower reaches of a comprehensive, high enthusiasm of exhibitors, WMC is praised by the industry, and has been recognized as the world's largest exhibition.
